The item received does not cover the screen and arrived in a flimsy bag. The cover does not close properly and therefore I presume was damaged in shipping. The quality of this product is poor and I would not recommend it. I should of realized that it was too cheap to actually be a good product. No sense in spending money to send it back, that would be throwing money down the drain again.

While the clear case preserves the color of the ipod, it does not protect it from anything. The case falls off with even a slight bump or touch of the hand. My daughter was thrilled when it stayed on for a whole hour. For some reason I must gotten a different one than the other reviewers, although this is what amazon told me was the one I got… and the pictures and prices look the same…
Mine has a screen cover built in.
Anyways, I just got it today, took only 3 days to arrive, thats pretty good timing I would say. Had a tiny bit of trouble getting it on,(reason for only 4 stars) maybe it was supposed to split all the way in half and snap back together, but I didn’t feel comfortable doing that so I opened it just enough to slip the ipod in. It fit well, but took a while to get it to snap back in place on the left side of the case. now its on and it certainly improves the feel and weight of the ipod, which in the first place felt too small and fragile, which is the reason I ordered this the night I got the ipod.
Haven’t used it that much yet, but since I got it on its held well and feels secure. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and will continue using amazon for various future purposes.

Two small pieces of clear plastic very tight fitting, snaps together so it is on permanently and not easy to install will need to see how long it lasts for a real opinion. Delivered on time and in good condition.
